He was accidentally shot two days after the Battle of Falkirk, and died January 22, 1746. He married Mary, daughter of Colonel Duncan Robertson, afterwards of Struan, and had by her (A) Duncan, who succeeded to Glengarry. (B) Angusia, who married Alexander Mackay of Achmonie."
