Robert Harris, the deceased man's son, gave notice of the death of Charles Harris before the registrar at Glasgow on 20 January 1879.

In 1891 Robert Harris was recorded living at 69 Plantation Street with his wife and family. He was a slater by occupation. in 1901 the family lived at 48 South Coburg Street in the Gorbals district. 1 4


Robert married Elizabeth RAMSEY JOHNSON on 17 Sep 1880 in Glasgow, Scotland.1 (Elizabeth RAMSEY JOHNSON was born in 1862 1 and died in 1921 1.)


Robert next married Alexander Hood HARRIS, son of Charles HARRIS and Marion HOOD, in 1555.2 3 (Alexander Hood HARRIS was born on 3 Feb 1865 in Tradeston parish, Glasgow, Scotland 6 7 and died 9 September 1866 at 6.30 pm in 45 King Street, Glasgow, Scotland 6.). The cause of his death was diptheria.

"Isabel, married in 1555 Robert Arbuthnot of Pitcarlies and Little Futhes, grandson to Sir Robert Arbuthnot of that Ilk, and elder brother of the famous and learned Principal of King's College, Alexander Arbuthnot. Alexander Burnet of Leys and his sons, John and Thomas, were bound by the contract to pay 500 merks for her tocher (Register of Bonds, Vol. I.)."

"Robert, who succeeded his father. He married in 1555 Isabel Burnett, daughter of Alexander Burnett of Leys. In 1587 he was Sheriff-Depute of Kincardine, under George, Earl Marischal. He obtained a tack of the teinds of Little Fiddes in 1589, and died prior to 30 July 1606. He had issue.."
