In the baptism records of his daughters Mary and Margarate, Donald McMurchy and his family were recorded as residing at 'Tynlone', present day Tayinloan probably. In Margarate's entry he was recorded as a 'Smith'.

When Mary McMillan nee McMurchy died in 1873 her death certificate recorded her father as 'Donald McMurchy blacksmith deceased'.


Donald married Anny McLEAN on 29 Dec 1790 in Killean and Kilchenzie Parish, Argyll, Scotland. (Anny McLEAN was born about 1765.)
