Other names for Ann were MICHAN, Ann 2 and MULLEN, Bridget.3 General Notes: There is a good deal of confusion surrounding the name of Robert Smyth's mother. For more detail see the file of Robert Smyth her son. Ann married Michael SMYTH. (Michael SMYTH was born probably about 1805 in probably Ireland.) Ann next married Mary Jane BOTHWELL, daughter of Samuel BOTHWELL and Jane MORTON.1 (Mary Jane BOTHWELL was born about 1857 in Ireland and died 25 June 1925 at 5.45 am in 18 Crawford Street, Greenock, Renfrewshire, Scotland 4.). The cause of her death was bronchitis and cardiac disease. Marriage Notes: "One of these (daughters of Adam Abercromby), however, became the wife of Alexander's brother George, who was killed by the man who was both his father-in-law and stepfather. 'Upone the -- day of July (1643), Adam Abircrummy killit his wyfe's sone, callit George Leith, brother german (actually half-brother) to the goodman of Harthill, and who also wes mareit to the said Adames owne dochter ...
