"1670, March 31. - Registration of sasine, dated March 1, of John Gordon, tutor of Glenbucket, and Agnes Gordon, his spouse, on a disposition of the lands of Logy Auldtoun, dated at Badenscoth, December 16, 1669 (ibid., vi., fol. 465).

"1708. February 12. Sasine on letters of obligation by William Keith of Ludquharne [the eighth laird of Gight had married a Keith of Ludquharne], with consent of Lady Jean Smith, his spouse, and George Keith, their second lawful son, to Agnes Gordon [of the Badenscoth family], relict of Captain John Gordon, tutor of Glenbucket, and George Gordon, his eldest son, of an annual rent of 40 Scots furth of two crofts of the town and lands of Stirlinghill, sometime possessed by Alexander Bruce and George Darg, lying in the parish of Peterhead. At Boddam, December 13, 1707 : Sasine on December 31, 1707 (Ibid., xix., 412)."

from Gight

"John Gordon, the 'Tutor of Glenbucket,' is mentioned under Town of Peterhead [Vol. I., p. 569], his valued rent being given up at Methlick: his lady, Agnes Gordon; his son, Alexander; and his daughters, Elizabeth, Helen, and Jean Gordons. This John seems to be the John G. who was also of Erdo, parish of Methlick; his valuation £340 (Poll Book, II., pp. 224-25). Methlick, however, here appears to be a mistake for Logiebuchan, as it is described in Poll Book and valuation given (Poll Book, II., 224-5).'
