Another name for John was QUIGLAY, John.2 General Notes: The 1881 census for Maryculter in Kincardineshire recorded a John Quigley, a resident student at Blairs RC College, a seminary where boys and young men studied for the priesthood. John was aged 15 years and had been born in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire. John married about 1602.1 Marriage Notes: "Isobel Duff 'a vertuous gentlewoman' who married about 1602 Patrick Gordon of Craigton (son of Gordon of Cairnburrow) who had migrated into Sutherlandshire (Earls of Sutherland p. 245.)" |
