  General Notes:

The 1881 census for Maryculter in Kincardineshire recorded a John Quigley, a resident student at Blairs RC College, a seminary where boys and young men studied for the priesthood. John was aged 15 years and had been born in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire.

John left the College at Valladolid, Spain, in ill health on 28 August 1885, and died the following year. He was never ordained priest. 3


John married about 1602.1
