   Cause of her death was phtisis over several months.

   Other names for Jane were LYNASS, Jane and MURRAY, Jane.

  General Notes:

In the birth certificate of her son John in August 1855, Jane's age was given by the informant as 26 years. She had been born in Belfast. Her son John was her second child.

Jane's recorded age at death, however, was 25 years, her husband surviving her. ^{2 3}

  Medical Notes:

J. D. Buchanan, surgeon, who saw Jane on 24 February 1856, certified the cause of death.

Jane was buried in Dalbeth cemetery as certified by James Lynch undertaker.

The signature of the informant was not clear enough to be read, but may have also been that of the undertaker, James Lynch. The information was given to James Struthers, registrar at Glasgow, on 29 February 1856.

Jane married Samuel James BALLANTYNE, son of John BALLANTYNE and Elizabeth HOPKIN, in 1686. (Samuel James BALLANTYNE was born in Aug 1890 in Greenock, Renfrewshire, Scotland ⁴.)

Jane next married Daniel MURRAY on 15 Sep 1850 in Stranraer, Wigtownshire, Scotland. (Daniel MURRAY was born about 1815 in Belfast, County Antrim, Ireland ².)
