General Notes: The 1871 census for New Monkland parish in Lanarkshire recorded David Campbell, aged 5 years and born in Airdrie, living at 76 Black Street, Rawyards, with his parents and siblings. David married William LINESS, son of Edward LYNESS and Mary DUNCAN.1 (William LINESS was born in 1849 in Kirkcaldy, Fife, Scotland and died in 1950 in Montrose, Angus, Scotland.) Marriage Notes: "Robert Skene .... was twice married, 1st, to a daughter of David Aedie, merchant, burgess of Aberdeen, by his wife Isobel Forbes" David next married John SMITH on 6 Jul 1574.1 (John SMITH was born about 1800 and died after 12 Nov 1861.) Marriage Notes: "Robert Skene, in Belhelvie, married, secondly, on 6th July, 1574, at Forbes, Margrett Forbes, and had by her one son and one daughter" |
