  Research Notes:

AGE

There is some difficulty establishing accurate ages from the census information. The census moved on from 1851 to 1861, 10 years, but Margaret aged only 6 years. According to the 1861 census she was only 58 years of age! She had by then a much larger household of grandchildren so they probably kept her on her toes. This fact may also account for the employment of two servants in the household.

Margaret married David QUIGLEY, son of David QUIGLEY and Fanny WATSON, on 31 July 1819 in Neilston, Renfrewshire, Scotland.1 (David QUIGLEY was born about 1797.)
