When Catherine married Michael Tweedley in 1856 her age was recorded as 41 years.

In 1878 Michael Quigley applied for parochial relief. Catherine Wright, his wife, was noted as one of his dependants. She was described as aged 60 years and as having been born at Kirkintilloch. She was occupied as a housewife at that time.

APPLICATION FOR PARISH RELIEF
In 1879, on 12 February at 4.05 pm, Catherine Wright reapplied from 4 St Joseph's Place, back low door, with Michael Quigley. She was a widow aged 54 years. She also stated that her husband died in Ayr three years before. She was referred there (to the parish) by the unemployed Relief Committee. The note just says: 'offered poorhouse'. ^{4 5}

Catherine married Michael QUIGLEY, son of Thomas QUIGLEY and Helen McQUILLAN, on 13 August 1866 in Ayr, Ayrshire, Scotland.¹ (Michael QUIGLEY was born about 1807 in near Old Tower, Ayr, Ayrshire, Scotland ⁵ and died 12 January 1889 at 4.00 am in 5 Society Street, Glasgow, Scotland.). The cause of his death was probably diarrhoea of 8 days duration and debility.
