Agnes married Hugh McCONVILL, son of Edward McCONVILL and Isabella WATSON, on 4 June 1867 in Carluke, Lanarkshire, Scotland.1 (Hugh McCONVILL was born in Ireland 1 3 4 and was baptised on 23 July 1846 in Dromore RC parish, County Down, Ireland 5.)


  Marriage Notes:

The marriage was celebrated after banns according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The priest was father Mortimer Cassin. The witnesses were Thomas Morgan and Mary McCluskey.

Hugh McConvil made his X mark. He was aged 20 years and single, and worked as a collier. He resided at Braidwood, Carluke.

Agnes Johnston also made her mark. She was a single woman and worked as a farm servant. She was 22 years old and lived at Castlehill Carluke. Her mother was deceased.

The marriage was registered on 6 June 1867, John Fraser being the registrar. 6
