When Elizabeth died in 1890 her death certificate recorded her as married to Daniel McGonigal, a journeyman housepainter. Her age at death was recorded as 63 years and both her parents were deceased. ⁵

John McGonigal, son of the deceased woman who had been present where she died, of 60 Clyde Street, gave notice of her death before James Stirling, registrar, at Glasgow, on 6 June 1890. ⁵

Elizabeth married Daniel McGONIGAL Housepainter & Army pensioner, son of John McGONIGAL Housepainter and Jane HARGAN, on 2 June 1858 in Ireland.¹ (Daniel McGONIGAL Housepainter & Army pensioner was born about 1835 in Ireland, possibly Derry,^{2 4 6 8} died 24 April 1895 at 5.30 am in 58 Clyde Street, Glasgow, Scotland and was buried on 25 April 1895 in St Kentigern's Cemetery, Glasgow ^{9 10}.). The cause of his death was acute nephritis over one and a half months.⁵
