Cause of his death was Loup nephritis over 2 weeks and uraemia and coma over 2 days.3 General Notes: James Tweedlie, his wife and two children were recorded by the 1881 census for West Greenock living at 5 Hope Street. James was a coppersmith by occupation. His age was recorded as 53 years and his birthplace as Belfast, Ireland. Medical Notes: R. Hamilton certified the causes of death. James married Catherine Gillies STEWART, daughter of Alexander STEWART and Isabella BRODIE, on 30 December 1870 in Middle/New Parish, Greenock, Renfrewshire, Scotland.1 (Catherine Gillies STEWART was born on 10 August 1845 in Rothesay, Bute, Scotland 1 2 and died 14 March 1911 at 2.50 pm in 235 (6) Dundyvan Road, Coatbridge, Lanarkshire, Scotland 2 3 4.). The cause of her death was cardiac dropsy over 3 months.3 |
