General Notes: James Sclanders was a shipmaster from Grangemouth who, according to his will, died 28 January 1810, leaving his spouse Ann Stewart or Sclanders, residing in Grangemouth, his 'relict' or widow. James married Ann STEWART, daughter of Edward STEWART and Margaret EWAN, on 4 March 1778 in Bothkennar, Stirlingshire, Scotland.1 (Ann STEWART was baptised on 5 November 1758 in Bothkennar, Stirlingshire, Scotland and died after 27 April 1810.)
