General Notes: The 1871 census for Glasgow recorded Ellen Quigley living with her widowed mother and brother and sisters at 12 Wright Street in Springburn. She was 16 years old and had been born in Ireland. She worked as a shirtcutter and was single. Ellen married William Henry BEADWELL on 13 June 1878 in St Luke's Episcopal Church, Glasgow, Scotland.1 (William Henry BEADWELL was born about 1853 1.) Marriage Notes: The marriage took place after banns according to the forms of the Episcopal Church. William Elvin Bradshaw, incumbent, married the couple. The witnesses were John Raphael and Maggie Ramage. |
