   Cause of her death was enteric fever and bronchitis.1

   Other names for Anne were QUIGLEY, Annie,1 WALKER, Anne 1 and WALKER, Annie.1

  General Notes:

The 1871 census for Glasgow recorded Annie Walker, a married woman, living with her widowed mother and brother and sisters as a boarder at 12 Wright Street in Springburn. She was 26 years old and had been born in Ireland. She worked as a shirt cutter.

Anne Walker died in 1903 at the recorded age of 57 years. Her death certificate recorded her as the 'widow of Charles Walker, stevedore's storekeeper'. her usual address was 71 Cranston Street, Glasgow. Her father was already deceased. 1

The causes of death were certified by Geo. B. Eadie MB ChB.

Annie Walker's son, Fred Walker, of 71 Cranston Street, Glasgow, gave notice of his mother's death before the registrar at Maryhill, Glasgow on 22 October 1903. 1


Anne married Charles WALKER, son of Frederick WALKER and Caroline CLIPTON, on 20 February 1871 in St Vincent's Chapel, Duke, Street, Glasgow, Scotland.1 (Charles WALKER was born about 1841 in USA 1 and died 15 December 1898 at 1.25 pm in 71 Cranston Street, Glasgow, Scotland 1.). The cause of his death was uraemia over 5 days and chronic nephritis.1


  Marriage Notes:

The marriage took place after banns according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church. Father Henry Murphy married the couple. The witnesses were David Logue and Margaret Kerry.

Charles Walker was a Merchant Seaman who was 30 years of age. He was single and lived at 12 John Knox Street, Glasgow.

Annie Quigley was 26 years old and worked as a shirt cutter. She was unmarried and lived at 12 Wright Street, Glasgow. Her father was deceased.

The marriage was registered in the High Church district of Glasgow on 22 February 1871. 1
