Catherine Vallely died in 1942. Her death certificate recorded her as the widow of James Vallely blast furnace filler. Her recorded age at death was 73 years. Both of her parents were deceased. ²

Mary Vallely, Catherine's daughter who had been present, gave notice of her mother's death before the registrar, Gregor Grant, on the 3oth October 1942. ²

Catherine married James VALLELY, son of Hugh VALLELY and Ann McGOUGH. (James VALLELY was born on 2 February 1865 in Sixmilecross, County Tyrone, Ireland ^{3 6} and died 10 April 1926 at 4.10 am in Coathill Hospital, Coatbridge, Lanarkshire, Scotland ¹.). The cause of his death was pulmonary TB.²
