The 1851 census recorded John and Letitia Quigley at Campsie parish. John was aged 33 years, Letitia 50 years, young John 10 years, and Francis 7 years.

Francis died in 1917 aged 73 years.


Francis married Agnes MORRISON on 19 August 1870 in Lennoxtown Campsie, Stirlingshire, Scotland.1 2 (Agnes MORRISON was born about 1846 in Lennoxtown Campsie, Stirlingshire, Scotland.)


  Marriage Notes:

The marriage was celebrated according to the rites of the Roman Catholic Church by Fr John H. Magini(s?). The witnesses were Joseph Quigley and Ann Quigley who made her X mark. It was registered at Campsie on 19 August 1870, William Taylor the registrar. Both the bride and groom were 'of Lennoxtown Campsie'.

Francis Quigley was a bachelor of 24 years, working as an alum work labourer. He made his X mark when signing the register. Both of his parents were dead.

Agnes Morrison was also 24 years. She was a printwork hand. Like Francis she had never before been married. She also made her X mark in the register. Her parents were both still alive. 2
