  General Notes:

Mary McConvil was recorded by the 1851 census living with her husband, three children and a lodger, near the Glasgow to London Road in the parish of Bothwell, Lanarkshire. Her age was noted as 45 years and she had been born in Ireland.

NOTE: The eldest of the children of the head of the household recorde in the 1851 census, a son, Daniel, was recorded as aged 34 years. The other two children are of an appropriate age to be Mary's children. The age recorded for Mary seems inaccurate, very much on the low side, given the age recorded for her in the 1871 census and at death. All of the ages may be inaccurate for that matter. There may have been more than one spouse on either or both sides, or the younger children may be grandchildren whom the couple were rearing.

Mary Vallely died in 1872. Her death certificate recorded her as aged 87 years. She was married to Daniel Colville, pauper, formerly agricultural labourer. ^{1 2}

Mary married Daniel McCONVIL. (Daniel McCONVIL was born about 1786 in Ireland ¹ and died after 30 November 1872 ².)
