  • Born: 20 May 1859, High Church, Glasgow, Scotland 2

Another name for Arthur was LYNAS, Arthur.3

  General Notes:

According to the family application for Poor Law relief in June 1879, Arthur was then aged 18 years and worked as a labourer.

In March 1881 when his mother claimed Poor Relief, she stated that he was 19 years old, single, a foundry labourer, and had not been seen since December.

In February 1887 when their mother again applied for Poor Relief, her sons Arthur and Michael were said to be 'idle' in the family.

In June 1888, in another claim by Helen, his mother, Arthur was recorded as single, a labourer, and in one of the 'models' - lodging houses for destitute men and women. 4 5 6 7
