General Notes: In 1851 the census for Neilston, Renfrewshire, recorded James Lynch, his wife Isabella, and their family of six sons and two daughters. They lived at Busby Road in the village of Cross Arthurlie. James was a married man of 47 years who worked as a dyewood miller. He had been born in Ireland, as had his wife. Their children were all born in Neilston parish. James married Isabella KIRKLAND in September 1830 in Neilston, Renfrewshire, Scotland.1 (Isabella KIRKLAND was born about 1810 in Ireland and died after 28 April 1871.) |
