Margaret married William QUIGLEY, son of John QUIGLEY and Margaret PORTER, on 22 June 1856 in Old Parish, Greenock, Renfrewshire, Scotland.1 (William QUIGLEY was born about 1832 in Ireland and died after 28 May 1862 3.)


  Marriage Notes:

The marriage was celebrated after banns according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The celebrant was William Gordon, RC Clergyman. The witnesses were Hugh Quigley, who made his X mark, and Bridget McCann, who made her X mark.

William Quigley was aged 25 years and unmarried. He worked as a coal labourer. His address was Adamson Road, back entry. He made his X mark.

Margaret Currie also made her X mark. She too was 25 years old, and her address was Back Entry. She was single and was a cotton mill worker. Her mother, whose name was recorded as 'not known', was deceased.

The marriage was registered on 4 July 1856 at Greenock, John Hislop being the signing registrar.
