General Notes: The 1851 census recorded William Quigley as 16 years old. He worked as a dock labourer. William married Margaret CURRIE, daughter of CURRIE and MALONE, on 22 June 1856 in Old Parish, Greenock, Renfrewshire, Scotland.1 (Margaret CURRIE was born about 1831 and died in 1857 in Greenock, Renfrewshire, Scotland 6.) Marriage Notes: The marriage was celebrated after banns according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The celebrant was William Gordon, RC Clergyman. The witnesses were Hugh Quigley, who made his X mark, and Bridget McCann, who made her X mark. |
