  General Notes:

David was recorded by the 1851 census. He was 6 years old and a scholar. He was living with his parents and brothers in 6 Charles Street Greenock.

An Extract of an Entry in the Service Department Registers recorded the death of a 36 year old man, David Quigley, on 30 December 1880. He was an Able Seaman, a member of the crew of the ship Macedon (official no. 56170), whose date of arrival was recorded simply as 'Abroad'. The man had been drowned. Under 'Nationality' the document recorded 'Greenock'. Circumstantially this information matches the David Quigley who was the husband of Margaret Bradley. 3

David married Margaret BRADLEY on 2 August 1869 in Greenock Old/West, Renfrewshire, Scotland.1 2 (Margaret BRADLEY was born about 1845.)

  Marriage Notes:

The marriage was also recorded in the register of the Middle or New parish of Greenock.
