Catherine was recorded as the wife of Bernard Lynas by the 1881 census. They were living at 220 Thistle Street, Glasgow. Catherine was 34 years and had been born in Scotland. No children were recorded living there.

When Catherine's husband Bernard died in 1896, he was then a widower. ^{4 5}

Catherine married Bernard LYNASS, son of Owen LYNAS and Esther LOUGHRAN, on 14 May 1867 in 125 Saltmarket Street, Calton, Glasgow, Scotland.^{1 2} (Bernard LYNASS was born in Ireland ⁶, baptised on 15 February 1840 in Ballymacnab RC Parish, County Armagh, Ireland ⁷ and died 31 August 1896 at 0.55 pm in 9 Rosehall Street, Glasgow, Scotland ⁸.). The cause of his death was heart disease of several months.

The marriage was celebrated according to the rites of the Roman Catholic Church.

The priest was John S. Vasall RCC and the witnesses were Alexander Gorman and Ann Diver, both of whom made their X mark. The marriage was registered at Glasgow on 17 May 1867, John Hamilton being registrar.

Bernard Lynas was a shoemaker journeyman. He was a bachelor aged 25 years of 94 Gallowgate Glasgow. Both of his parents were deceased.

Catherine McEntee was a bookfolder. She was marrying for the first time at the age of 21 years and her address was 125 Saltmarket Street, where the marriage itself took place. Both of her parents were still alive. ²
