An entry in the 1891 census recorded Elizabeth Rattray, a 'fish dealer's wife', being held as a prisoner in the North Prison at Glasgow Cathedral Square in the city. Her age was noted as 35 years. 3


Elizabeth married William RATTRAY, son of William RATTRAY and Agnes BAIN, in 1888.1 (William RATTRAY was born about 1854 in Glasgow, Scotland and died 23 November 1931 at 5.15 am in 22 Russell Street, Johnstone, Renfrewshire, Scotland 2.). The cause of his death was apoplexy over 1 year and senility over 2 years.
