  General Notes:

William Carmichael, Archibald Carmichael's son, was the informant of Archibald's death before the registrar at St Martins on 17 June 1861.

In his death certificate of 1900, William Carmichael was recorded as a "Master Turner" by occupation. His place of birth was Scotland and his age at death was noted as 93 years and 5 months. He had been in Queensland about 18 years, His father was named as Archibald Carmichael, a farmer. William had married in Dundee Scotland to Elizabeth Rollo. The certificate states he was about 21 years of age at that time, though this is not compatible with his age at death as recorded on the death certificate as his year of marriage is know from other sources as 1831. Eight children of William Carmichael and Elizabeth Rollo were listed on the document:
Elizabeth aged 64 years,
Archibald aged 61 years,
James aged 59 years,
William aged 57 years,
George aged 53 years,
Charles aged 51 years,
Jemima aged 49 years,
Duncan aged 47 years
and one male child had died. 2 3
