In her death certificate of 1894 Jean Cordiner was recorded as a housekeeper who was single and retired. Her recorded age at death was 81 years. Both of her parents were deceased. ¹

  Medical Notes:

The informant of Jean's death was her daughter Jane Amos, of 22 Oxford Street, Edinburgh, who gave notice at Alford on 27 November 1894 before james Reid, registrar, of her mother's death. ¹

Jean had a relationship with Robert MURDOCH, son of Robert MURDOCH and Jean McKENZIE. (Robert MURDOCH was baptised on 5 June 1809 in Glenbucket Parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland,³ died on 4 March 1889 in Aberdeenshire, Scotland ⁴ and was buried in Glenbuchat Churchyard, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.)
