McCORMICK, Eliza
Cause of her death was bronchitis over 2 months. Other names for Eliza were MASTERSON, Eliza, McCORMICK, Elizabeth 1 and McMASTER, Elizabeth. General Notes: Elizabeth was the youngest of eight children listed in her mother's 1855 death certificate. Her age was noted as 17 years. Medical Notes: D. Walker, surgeon certified the cause of death. Eliza married William MASTERSON, son of William MASTERSON and Alice McGOVERN, on 16 July 1863 in St John's RC Chapel, Portugal Street, Glasgow, Scotland. (William MASTERSON was born about 1835 and died between 1863 and 1871.) Marriage Notes: The marriage was celebrated after banns according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The priest was Fr John Kerr, one of the clergymen of St John's Catholic Church, Portugal Street, Glasgow. The witnesses were Stephen Stewart and Bridget Cary or Cory who made her X mark. |
