Margaret Graham's death certificate of 1855 is in the long format typical of the first year of statutory registration. According to her death certificate, Margaret was born in Glasgow and had been in the parish of Beith for 33 years. She was 35 years old at the time of her death. Her father was a bleacher and both of her parents were deceased. Her husband, William Fulton was a cotton weaver. She had had five children between the ages of 13 years and 1 year, one of whom, George, died at the age of six weeks. ³

The cause of death was certified by John M. Morrison, Surgeon, who saw deceased on 23 December 1855.

Margaret's husband William Fulton gave notice of her death on 28 December 1855 before the registrar at Beith.

Robert Barbour, undertaker, certified that Margaret's remains were buried in the Relief Churchyard, Beith. ³

The cause of his death was softening of the brain over 2 years and paralysis.
