Cause of his death was heart disease and bronchitis sutained over years and anasarca over 2 months.
General Notes:
The 1841 census recorded Thomas living in 'Prestwick proper' with his parents and brothers and sisters. He was placed in the 20-24 years age range, and was born in Ayrshire. No occupation was noted.
The census of 1861 recorded Thomas, his wife and two sons, living in a house with one windowed room in Sandgate Street in the parish of Monkton and Prestwick. Thomas was a cotton weaver and was aged 42 years. All of them had been born in Prestwick.
Thomas George was a cotton weaver, according to his death certificate of 1866. He died aged 46 years, and was survived by his wife, Elizabeth.
When his son, William, married in 1873, Thomas was recorded in the marriage lines as a 'silk weaver deceased'. 4 5 6 7

'Anasarca' is a condition where the limbs of the body retain fluid and the body has a puffed up appearance as a result.

Robert Dobbie MD LRCS (E) certified the causes of Thomas' death.
Thomas' brother in law Arthur (?) Moore notified the registrar for Monckton and Prestwick parish, James McCowan, on April 19 1866.
