McKAY, John

   Cause of his death was gastric carcinoma of 18 weeks' duration and secondary carcinoma of the pelvis.

  General Notes:

When John died in 1940, his age was recorded as 54 years. His occupation was given as builder's labourer. He was survived by his wife, and by his mother.

John's son's wedding certificate of 1942 noted that he had been a general labourer and was deceased by that date.

The cause of death was certified by James Rennie MB ChB.

The death was registered on February 14 1940 at Maybole before Jeanie Shaw, assistant registrar. The informant was Edward McKay, John's brother, who had been present. His address was given as 32 Milton View, Gatehead, by Kilmarnock.

John married Mary GIBSON. (Mary GIBSON was born about 1890.)
