   Cause of his death was chronic bronchitis over 4 years and asthma myocardis.²

  General Notes:

John was living in Carluke, his birthplace, with his parents and family when the 1881 census was taken. He was recorded as aged 8 years and a scholar.

In his death certificate of 1936 John Quigley was recorded as a 'coal miner (hewer), married to Mary Lynch'. His recorded age at death was 64 years. Both of his parents were deceased. ^{2 3}

Michael Quigley, nephew of the deceased, of 18 Overtown Road Waterloo Wishaw, gave notice of his uncle's death before W. Reece, registrar, at Carluke on 26 December 1936. ²
