General Notes:
Agenss George (sic) was recorded by the 1841 census for Monkton and Prestwick. She lived with her parents and siblings, nine children in all ranging in age from early 20s to age 2 years. She had been born in Ayrshire and was recorded as being in the 15 to 19 years age group.
The 1855 birth certificate of her son, James Currie, recorded him as Agnes Currie's fifth child. She was aged 38 years and had been born in Prestwick.
In her death certificate in 1879, Agnes was recorded as the widow of James Currie and 57 years of age when she died. 2 3 4

Agnes' son, William, who was present, notified the registrar John P. Todd on Christmas Day 1879 in Kilmarnock of his mother's death. 3
