McKAY, Jane

Jane married John LYNASS, son of John LYNASS and Jane MULLAN, on 9 May 1870 in 88 George Street, Stranraer, Wigtownshire, Scotland.^{1 2} (John LYNASS was born about 1802 and died 28 July 1879 at 5.45 am in 91 Roadspark Street, Govan, Glasgow, Scotland ³.). The cause of his death was senile decay.

John was a widower aged 64 years, resident at 88 George St Stranraer where the marriage took place.

Jane was 24 years old and lived at 14 Bridge St Stranraer. She made her X mark.

The witnessses were unclear and difficult to decipher: they may be Bridget Gullin or Cullin and P. T or J Ravey (?).

The marriage was registered at Stranraer on 12 May 1870, John Ritchie being registrar. ²
