Her husband John, who had been present where her death occurred, gave notice to the registrar at Stranraer, John Ritchie, on 9 September 1867, of Sarah's death.

Sarah married John LYNASS, son of John LYNASS and Jane MULLAN. (John LYNASS was born about 1802 and died 28 July 1879 at 5.45 am in 91 Roadspark Street, Govan, Glasgow, Scotland ⁵.). The cause of his death was senile decay.
