A 'grandson' of James Quigley, of 8 Broomknoll Street Airdrie, was recorded resident with him by the 1861 census. He was registered as 'William J. Quigley' and his age noted as 20 years. His birthplace was Ireland. He may be the son of Jane Quigley or Laetitia Quigley outside marriage, or indeed, as listed here, possibly the son of James outside marriage. ¹
