Cause of her death was gradual decay. Other names for Jean were QUIGLEY, Jean and QUIGLY, Jean. General Notes: In the 1851 census Jean was recorded as the wife of James Quigly, a master shoemaker. He was aged 56 years and she was 36 years old. They were born in Ireland. A man called Andrew McNeelly lodged with them. Research Notes: Jean's age remained at 36 between 1851 and 1861! Medical Notes: No medical person was in attendance. Jean married James QUIGLEY, son of Joseph QUIGLEY and Isabella CAMPBELL, in September 1846 in New Monkland, Lanarkshire, Scotland.1 (James QUIGLEY was born about 1790 in Ireland 7 and died 9 January 1875 at 1.00 pm in 8 Broomknoll Street, Airdrie, Lanarkshire, Scotland 8.). The cause of his death was old age and debility. |
