Thomas Fulton was recorded in the 1863 marriage certificate of his daughter Mary as being a stoneware merchant.

Thomas Fulton, of 111 East High Street, Forfar, who was "Father in law to a son of the deceased", gave notice of Sarah McGunagall MS Kyle (Coyle) 's death before the registrar at Forfar on 21 October 1865.

The 1871 census for Forfar recorded Thomas Fulton living with his wife at 115 East High Street Forfar. His age was recorded as 55 years and his occupation as 'waste merchant'. He had been born in Ireland. ^{1 2 3}
