Helen Tweedley was the informant of her son James's birth in 1882. She gave the date and place of her marriage as 22 October 1869 at Glasgow.

Ellen remarried, according to her son Neil's marriage certificate in 1908. Her name there was recorded as "Ellen Jeffrey previously Tweedly MS Gunn (deceased)". Another source gives her second husband's name as James Gordon Jeffrey. ²

Helen married Neil TWEEDLEY, son of Charles TWEEDLEY and Jane MASON, on 22 October 1869 in Central District, Glasgow, Scotland.¹ (Neil TWEEDLEY was born about 1850 in Claybrae, Calton, Glasgow, Scotland ^{3 4} and died in 1883 ⁵.)
