Alexander married Christian DOUGLAS, daughter of Sir William DOUGLAS of Lochleven, then 6th Earl of Morton and Agnes LESLIE, on 9 January 1586.1 2 (Christian DOUGLAS was born about 1569 and died by 1607 1.)

"He (Alexander Home) married, first, 9 January 1585-86, Christian, daughter of William Douglas of Lochleven, afterwards Earl of Morton, and widow of Lawrence, Master of Oliphant, who died in March 1584. She had a charter of the barony of Dunglas 29 November 1586. By her Lord Home had no issue."

she had a charter of the barony of Dunglas 18 July 1586. She was alive in August 1591, but was dead before 1607, when Lord Hume married again."

Alexander next married Marie Dudley SUTTON before 28 June 1607.2 (Marie Dudley SUTTON was born on 2 October 1586 2 and died on 24 May 1645 in London, England 2.)
