Beatrix married Alexander URQUHART of Cromarty, son of Thomas URQUHART of Fischerie, Sheriff of Cromarty and Helen ABERNETHY.1 (Alexander URQUHART of Cromarty was born about 1515 and died by 1566 1.)


  Marriage Notes:

On the death of this Sir Thomas, he was succeeded by his eldest son, Alexander Urquhart of Cromarty, who was served and retoured heir to his father, 21st March 1561, in the lands of Fishery and others, and married Beatrix, daughter of Innes of Auchintoul, an old family of Banffshire by whom he had Walter and John Urquhart of Craigfintray, commonly called Tutor of Cromarty, with three other sons and several daughters.

Alexander Urquhart of Cromarty, also called of Inchrorie, had a charter under the Great Seal confirming a grant by his father to himself and his wife, Beatrice Innes, of the lands of Inchrory and others in the shires of Ross and Inverness, dated 4th March 1532."
