He marr. 12th Dec. 1738, Magdalen (died 1st June 1788), daugh. of Charles Gordon of Glengeraik in Keith, and had issue George, schoolmaster of this parish (1757-80), born 22nd Oct. 1739, died 3rd May 1780; Margaret, born 2nd Oct. 1740, died 23rd May 1754 ; Alexander, born 6th June 1742; Katherine, born 23rd, July 1744 ; Helen, born 4th March 1747: Anna, born 4th May 1750 (marr.
