"Barbara: married, as his second wife, Arthur Johnston, the Latin poet, whose first wife was a Belgian. Johnston died in 1641. His widow survived until March, 1650, when she was interred at Aberdeen (Kirkwood Account of the Burgh, 1624-50). She bore him (Musa Latina Aberdonensis, ii., 21) a son: William Johnston."
