"James Gordon in Kirktown had a son by his wife Elizabeth Gordon 15th June 1750 years which was forgot & ought to have been inserted in the Register before this time baptised, named, Charles Witnesses Lord Charles Gordon & the Reverend Mr James Gordon Minister both in Manse of Cabrach"

The witnesses were probably Lord Charles Gordon, son of the 2nd Duke of Gordon and the Reverend James Gordon who was at that time Minister of the parish of Cabrach.< 1 2
