Katharine married Thomas FORBES 2nd of Thornton, son of James FORBES of Savoch, then 1st of Thornton and Margaret RAMSAY. (Thomas FORBES 2nd of Thornton was born about 1675.)


  Marriage Notes:

"Thomas Forbes of Thornton, married (1) Katharine, daughter of Andrew Ramsay of Abbotshall, by whom he had Thomas and David, who settled in the Isle of Man; James, Andrew, John, George, Katharine and six other children.

His wife, Katharine, died 1709. Thomas of Woodston and David, the two eldest sons, each obtained a grant of arms from the Lord Lyon in 1765." [...]

Thomas, the eldest son, sold Thornton, and in 1764 was served heir general to Alexander Littlejohn of Woodston.
