He marr. 2nd Feb. 1721, Barbara, daugh. of James Gordon of Auchlyne, and had issue Rachel; Thomas, apprenticed to a W.S. in 1739; James, M.D.; Edward [all above the age of 16 in 1736]; Alexander, born 6th Feb. 1736.
