"JAMES MUNRO, educated at King's College, Aberdeen, 1729-33; licen. by Presb. of Elgin 14th Nov. 1749; ord. to Kinloss 14th May 1752 ; pres. by Francis, Earl of Moray, Dec. 1774 ; trans, and adm. 10th Aug. 1775; died 24th June 1780. He marr. 23rd Sept. 1752, Mary (died in 1770), daugh. of George Gordon, min. of this parish, and had issue George of Vanburghfield, Blackheath, London ; a daugh. (marr. 26th Aug. 1775, Alexander Adam, LL.D., a native of Rafford, rector of the High School, Edinburgh), died before 1780; Margaret (marr. James Scott, min. of Auchterhouse) ; and other five children. [Tombst.]"

James married Mary GORDON, daughter of Reverend Mr George GORDON Minister at Boharm, then of Alves Parish and Agnes BRODY, on 23 September 1752.¹ (Mary GORDON was baptised on 20 February 1729 in Boharm parish, Banffshire, Scotland ² and died in 1770 ¹.)
