In the Jacobite Papers by Allardyce, there is a

" LIST OF THE HERETORS in Strathdon and above Towie who have given Bond to the Commissioners of Justiciary for the peaceable behaviour of their men".

In the "list of men given up by them" for Aberdeenshire in 1699, under the name of
"Alexr. Straquhan of Glenkindie"
is found the entry:
"Duncan Callem in Cottoun". 2


Duncan married Bessie STRAQUHAN on 7 July 1692 in Strathdon parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.1 (Bessie STRAQUHAN was born about 1675.)


Duncan next married Jean CRAIGIE, daughter of Thomas CRAIGIE and Unknown, on 7 February 1703 in Strathdon parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.1 (Jean CRAIGIE was baptised on 18 March 1685 in Strathdon parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland 1.)
