John had a relationship with Henrietta FRASER, daughter of William FRASER 2nd Lord Saltoun of the Fraser line (11th Lord Saltoun, old numbering) and Margaret SHARP, in 1718.1 (Henrietta FRASER was born about 1698,5 died on 26 February 1751 in Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire, Scotland 1 5 8 and was buried in 1751 in Kirkton Cemetery, Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire, Scotland 1 5 6.) Marriage Notes: "John Gordon of Kinellar, Aberdeenshire, was the fourth son of the fifth baronet. He married in 1718 Hon. Henrietta Fraser, second daughter of William, eleventh Baron Saltoun. He was one of the managers of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Aberdeen. He died in 1764 in his eightieth year. His wife died at Fraserburgh February 26, 1751, aged 53. Both of them are buried in the Kinellar vault at Fraserburgh." |
